Mark Your Calendar for February 13-14, 2024
You’re invited to join the 14th Annual Alliance for Childhood Cancer Action Days. Action Days brings our community together to advocate for important childhood cancer issues currently before Congress. The Alliance for Childhood Cancer is excited to hold Action Days in Washington, DC in February 2024!
Your Voice Matters
We are at a critical point on several key policy issues for children with cancer, and we need a strong showing of advocates at Action Days 2024. Sharing your story with members of Congress will ensure the voice of children with cancer is heard loud and clear!
The Details
Action Days 2024 is a two-day in-person event in Washington, D.C. Tuesday, February 13, is our required training day. During our training session, which will take place at the Washington Marriott at Metro Center (775 12th Street NW, Washington DC 20005), you will hear from guest speakers and meet fellow advocates, all to help prepare you for your Capitol Hill meetings on Wednesday, February 14.
A registration fee of $50 per family will help cover training materials and other items to assist in advocacy endeavors.
The Alliance has secured a room block at the Marriott at Metro Center for the nights of February 12, 13, and 14 at a nightly rate of $209 plus tax for either a King Bed or 2 Double Beds. Advocates can reserve a room at the Marriott through our online portal or by calling (800) 228-9290 or (202)737-2200 and mentioning the Alliance for Childhood Cancer Action Days.
Faces of Childhood Cancer Project
Calling all childhood cancer families! As members of the childhood cancer community, we want our legislators to recognize that childhood cancer goes beyond statistics by showing them the faces of our children. Our children are more than just the cancer they experience. We have created the Faces of Childhood Cancer Project to share their inspirational stories with legislators and the public. It’s a fun and meaningful activity that you can do from home!
Create a ribbon in honor or in memory of a child impacted by childhood cancer here by hovering over a blank space on the display wall and clicking on a location that allows you to “click to select” a gold ribbon.
